Prices and Early Bird: what VintageCam costs
All plans at a glance, the 14-day trial, what stays free afterwards and why the Early Bird prices are meant to apply for five years.
VintageCam should stay affordable for families. That is why there is no hardware, no tangle of contracts and no hidden fees, just four small plans and one add-on.
The first 14 days
From registration, all features are free for 14 days, Ultimate included. You do not have to provide anything. Afterwards alerts and the last three recordings stay free permanently; the camera side is never locked, so that it can always record and report alerts.
The plans
Basic costs 0.99 euros a month or 7 euros a year. Extended costs 2.99 euros a month or 21 euros a year. Complete costs 4.99 euros a month or 35 euros a year. The Ultimate add-on, which can be added to any plan, costs 6.49 euros a month or 46 euros a year. With the annual rate you save around 41 percent compared with monthly payment.
What is in which plan: Basic brings still image, live listening and access to all recordings. Extended adds live video and talk-back. Complete additionally includes download of recordings, a short alert video, motion alert, sleep analysis and up to four cameras, for example for several children or rooms. Early Bird
These prices are introductory prices. Anyone who joins early should keep them for five years, even if prices rise later. At the moment this is an announcement on the website; it will be set down in binding form in the terms of use when payment is introduced. Until then the service is given out through the trial and vouchers, and payment is not built in yet.
Vouchers for family and friends
For family and friends there are vouchers with activation, redeemed via a link. Anyone invited this way gets access for the agreed time and can then decide for themselves.
What you need for the camera
The camera app runs on Android 8 and newer. As a viewer any browser is enough, also on the iPhone or on a computer, because the viewer is a web page. The cost is therefore shared between an old phone you already have and the small monthly fee.
Cancelling and deleting
You can export all your data at any time and delete your account. Recordings, tracks and sessions disappear with the account. More in the article Where are my recordings?.
